Worship is at the heart of who we are. Each time we gather, we celebrate the presence of Jesus Christ in Word and Sacrament, and we renew our call to love and serve God and our neighbors.
Our services follow the Book of Common Prayer, the worship tradition of the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion. Page numbers for the red Book of Common Prayer are found in the bulletin that you can pick up when you come through the doors. Our members enjoy knowing we are joining with other Episcopal Churches around the state, country, and world praying powerful prayers for our world, community, and one another. Whether you are a lifelong Episcopalian or visiting for the first time, you will find our worship both reverent and welcoming, marked by Scripture, prayer, music, and weekly Holy Communion.
At St. Mark’s, the Holy Eucharist (also called the Lord’s Supper or Communion) is the center of our common life. In this sacred meal, we remember Christ’s sacrifice, give thanks, and are spiritually nourished to carry His love into the world. All baptized Christians, regardless of denomination, are invited to receive Communion.

Sunday Services
We offer two styles of worship:
• Holy Eucharist Rite I — 8:30 a.m. A traditional service using Elizabethan language and a quiet, contemplative tone.
• Holy Eucharist Rite II — 11:00 a.m. A contemporary service with modern language and vibrant music.
Sunday Activities
We have coffee and light-snacks from 9:30-10:00 a.m.
We have 3 Adult Sunday School Classes and Youth Sunday School that meet 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. from September to May:
- Ray Hall adult Sunday School – All ages are welcome.
- Library Adult Class – Mostly Gen X Adults (but all are welcome!) reading select verses and discussing their applicability to the challenges and opportunities of living our faith.
- Chapman Hall Adult Class – Younger Adults
- Youth Sunday School – Teachers are background-checked and provide hands-on lessons and activities.
- Nursery – Coming Soon
Wednesdays
- Holy Eucharist with Unction — 10:00 a.m. We gather for a healing service that includes prayer for wholeness and anointing with oil.
- Bible Study — 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m
Lent
- Evening Prayer — 5:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday — a peaceful way to close the day in prayer
We also hold special services throughout the church year, including Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, Advent, and Christmas, as we walk together through the sacred seasons of faith.
